What Can I Do? **Updates**

Hey Everyone!  I wanted to update those of you who follow me. I had some major cardiologist appointments the last week and a half.  I had my first appointment to check the structure of my heart and anything else related to the health of my heart.  I got an EKG and an Echocardiogram and got the results yesterday.  I officially have a healthy heart!! The fear was that with EDS being a connective tissue disorder that CAN effect the heart, that mine wouldn't be strong or would have a defect.  I'm thanking God that both tests were normal!

Also, I haven't really made it public or official, but I am changing my major from Sign Language Interpreting to Social Work.  I am very excited about it, but am still mourning the death of a 13 year old dream.  This decision was made after much prayer, talking to my mentor and my parents.  I believe that it is a better fit for me and I can help more people in that field.

I love my job at Charming Charlie!  Most of the management and charmers are great! I am super excited to announce though that I got a new job.  I will be working for someone as a caregiver/ support staff.  I've already met her and she is very sweet and really funny.  We are going to have too much fun! :)  I'm planning on working both jobs.

Other than that, I have decreased a dose of a medication, increased another one, and possibly changing one completely.  We will see.  I also have a new diagnosis that I'm dealing with privately, so please have patience with me as I sort through things.  I have had some struggles with my anxiety and depression that I won't get too detailed on.  It's definitely been worse than normal.  EDS doesn't cause depression and anxiety, but it definitely makes things worse.  I'm getting through things with the help of my amazing parents that love me no matter what, my mom's best friend who is MUCH more than a friend, and my amazing support crew on facebook in the EDS Support Group.  I don't know what I would do without everyone.  The ladies in my sexual assault support group are just as amazing and valuable as everyone else I listed.  I seriously don't know what I would do without those amazing ladies!
My mom is the best. She seriously means the world to me.
Encourage Someone.  You really never know what people are going through.
Gentle Hugs
