Dislocations

With  my most recent dislocation of my left index finger, alot of people have asked how it happened and why it happened and have been very confused. 

• What happened?    My finger dislocated.  The joint at the base of my left index finger popped out.

• How did it happen?    Nothing specific happened.  I was driving home after work on Saturday night and it randomly decided to dislocate.  Unfortunately, my dislocations are usually totally random and have nothing to do with a specific event or situation.

• Does it hurt?  Absolutely!!!!! My pain was about an 8 or 9 on Saturday night.  Sunday was an average of 6 or 7.  I had it on ice and wrapped nonstop on Saturday night until Sunday night.

• Do I have to go to the emergency room?    No.  I can't go to the ER ever time I have a dislocation.  I have had to learn how to put things back into place on my own.  I would be totally broke and in massive debt if I went to the ER for every little dislocation.

• Did I take pain medications?    Lol, YES!!!! I took tramadol and vicodin (at separate times) on top of my usual gabapentin and ibuprofen.

Dislocations are really annoying.  I hate having to put things back in on my own but I don't have much of a choice.
